At the premiere of Netflix's 'K-Pop Demon Hunters,' Arden Cho had a few inspiring words to say about what she hopes fans take from the film!
K-Pop Demon Hunters, Sony Pictures Animation and Netflix’s newest action-packed animated feature film, is currently taking over the world at the moment, and for good reason! With its beautiful art style, its catchy bops, its cast of amazingly talented Korean American stars, and its original storyline, the film is a breathe of fresh air in a market oversaturated and ran by countless uninspired reboots and sequels — and Gold Envelope got the chance to celebrate all of the action at the film’s premiere in Los Angeles at Netflix’s Tudum Theater!

After the film was screened, the cast and creators of K-Pop Demon Hunters gathered for a panel discussion about crafting the film, and actress Arden Cho, who plays main character Rumi in the film, had some inspiring words about representation, and what she hopes fans take from the film after getting to watch it.
“I hope this movie makes everyone feel seen and connected,” Cho told the audience. “I feel like quite often in film and TV whenever there’s a project that is Asian or a minority-centered story, like K-Pop Demon Hunters, some people might think, ‘Oh, it’s just about K-Pop,’ or ‘It’s Korean.’ But I hope people can get past that and see this is an incredible film. It’s an incredible movie.”

“I hope people can just see that it’s a great movie for everyone,” she continued. “Not just K-Pop lovers. For all types of people, whatever color or type you are.”
